Project Description

Overview:  Insight King Wah (“IKW”) proposes MUSEUM PLACE, a unique and exciting 270 foot high-rise mixed-use development worthy of the evolving and ever-changing Silicon Valley and its Capital, San Jose. As technology continues to advance and change lives, IKW envisions Museum Place to be an iconic development that is both forward thinking and yet mindful of the history of San Jose. Museum Place will be a worthy addition to the skyline of San Jose and enhance its historic assets such as Cesar Chavez Park, Adobe Towers, City Hall and The Fairmont Hotel as the other principal downtown structures.

Museum Place will activate the streets surrounding it, will attract Silicon Valley technology companies and international headquarters, and will also provide superlative living space and hotel rooms to further support business, conventions, and tourism. And, perhaps most important, Museum Place will compound the planned synergy with The TECH and transform that synergy into a true catalyst that will bring a new standard, a new energy, and a new vitality to downtown San Jose.

IKW is a seasoned team of local and international real estate investors and developers consisting of Insight Realty Company and King Wah Development as the joint developer. IKW has hired STEINBERG the locally-based and internationally recognized architecture firm and Silicon Valley Synergy to head the public/private partnership with San Jose and The TECH. And the lead investor is China New Era along with general contractor, China Construction America.

Vision: The vision of Museum Place inspires a place that is innovative and revolutionary. Museum Place will stay true to The TECH’s mission statement of “Creativity per Square foot.” The unique design seamlessly incorporates museum space, retail and restaurants, public space, creative office, residential, and hotel.
